agreed about odin. picked up an EG sweatshirt for $50 off. did you go to the one on Lafayette? never been to the other one and was wondering the difference in selection..
Yep - I go to the one on Lafayette. Been to the other one once but prefer the selection at the Lafayette store

They do have a lot of EG stuff on sale (duffle coats of every size and every color), some great Nicholas K stuff, some stuff from a French brand called "Surface to Air" which is truly awesome (the fabrics they use are so nice) + many other brands (Comme des Garcons, Paul Smith, Nice Collective, Kicking Mule...). They just do a great job at selecting the best pieces

I bought a white with blue stripes shirt from Daniele Alessandrini. It has a slim-cut, I had it altered to be shorter. I totally love it. It was 50% off (120 CDN, tax included) at Industria, a small boutique in the Cours Mont-Royal, in MontrÃ[IMG]al.

Apparently, I am addicted to Fred Bare Engineer's caps. Picked up another one from Alan Bilzerian, this one in a really rich, chocolate brown to go with my warm colored jackets and hoodies. At least this time it was on sale and I sure am glad the the cap fit be better and was more interesting texturally than the $300 Balenciaga satin military cap I also tried on. Problem is that I sort of built up this years winter wardrobe around my black cap - so lots of midnight blues (essentially blue/blacks), greys, and heathered blacks. I have the khaki heathered eco-wool Engineered Garments hoodie I bought from Brian (Peasant) that goes terrifically with the brown cap, and an Edun jacket from last year and my Varvatos jacket over a brown cord jacket, but very little in the way of second layers... I guess that grey heathered hoodies over a brown or rich colored tee (say, maroon or burnt orange) would do the trick...

Also, got a thick, wide (close to 2") brown leather belt, very plain except for a nickel horseshoe buckle, expressly to go with my Nudie Straight Svens. My other belts just didn't seem to fit the bill quite right. $39 at Barneys, on sale.

Stopped by Odin today. Selection is as awesome as ever except that now everything is on sale

Picked up a Nicholas K Bronson jacket in fawn color. The fit is fantastic and details are incredible. [IMG] It was 40% off so that's not too bad

I was very disappointed when I was at Odin last week. I saw this awesome Paul Smith cap, but they didn't had one in a small [IMG].

Two pair of jeans from Bluenotes, of all places. (Canadian teen-oriented mall chain with their own house denim brand.) Both slim straight, one raw or one-wash, the other a dark wash. First pair was CAD$30, second CAD$10.. [IMG]

The sad part is that this is the best fit+color I've found around here yet. Nothing outstanding quality-wise but nothing awful either. I'll put some pictures up in the denim thread when I have a chance.

One must have been last year's stock or something, because one's a 34 and the other's a 36 and they both fit 35" me the same. The only real size difference is in the leg opening (18" vs 19"), but that could just be because one's a 32" leg and the other's a 34" so I could turn it up.

Tail end of the boxing-day sales last night:
    - couple of slim button-up shirts from America, one heavy gray stripes, $20 and $30 instead of $70 ea. First time I've fit a medium in a while, yay! [IMG]
    - Club Monaco peacoat, $200 instead of $300. Slim, with pewter-ish buttons. A bit more than I should've spent on this particular coat but I could not find a cold-weather coat for the life of me this year. 74% wool at least and fits nicely. I'll try to get a picture in WAYWN this weekend.
    - black D-ring belt from CM, $9, reg $40

Nearly bought a pair of tan chelseas for $40 instead of $120 at FX Lasalle but I wasn't 100% convinced on them, and I can really only justify one pair of shoes-for-jeans right now and I think I'm after distressed wingtips instead so I held off. Of course now I realize I should've bought them because they were good enough at that price.
