Hmm. Yeah, padded socks might work... and yep, they're fully broken in, I think. I wonder if maybe I got the wrong size? I got size 9.5 .. I usually wear 9.5 or 10 in most shoes, but when I tried on some Chucks I needed a size 9. Perhaps I should've gone up to a 10... maybe the back wouldn't dig into my heel then. Dunno.

minya, I got them in Nordstrom (I was surprised, believe me.)

I have never had leather low Purcells though I do have the leather hightop Purcells. For me, the top part of the back of the leather hightops (on one shoe only) was cutting into the back of my ankle. I got some Dr. Scholl Blister Treatment pads and I stick one on the affected area when I wear the shoes. Works great.

The canvas Purcells are pretty comfortable IMO. I wear them a full size bigger than I do Chucks, because they are narrower.

the Nordstrom in the San Francisco shopping center? Last time I was there, I was surprised/pleased to see they had Jack Purcells. I just saw the plain black canvas ones, though.

actually, when I'm back in the city I'm gonna head down there and try on a pair of the canvas ones and see if I can stand them.

    ^ yes, the downtown one.

BTW, I saw your Visvims in huf, those are really sweet. I was too cheap to buy them, though, got a couple pairs of Vans instead.

I seem to have weaned myself off of buying jeans, but my methadone is sneakers.

Hmm, this thread is seriously neglected.

I am glad I can bring it back to life by reporting my newest acquisition, this very practical and necessary Maharishi x Andy Warhol plush banana.
