1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Yeah, it's more apparent in that picture and it's not as bad in person, but it's still somewhat "hairy". I wish I knew a way to fix it. I suppose that's what I get for buying shit off the internet.
Just get one of those shavers for fabric pilling.

Just arrived & ready for tomorrow.. Now which one?
Nice! The Belgrave is my personal favorite of those three.

I am in Phoenix right now from Edmonton and have done pretty poorly with finding stuff as my girlfriend has been getting smoking deals left and right. I did OK today at Last Chance.

I got these for $69. They need an new insole, it is ripped out for whatever reason, but for $400 dollars off, I can get that done and deal with the bit of creasing on the toes: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2974110/...bo=6014331&P=1

I got these for $39. They are less worn on the sole than the Ferragamos but deeper creases on the vamp. But again, for $280 bucks off of retail I think I am doing ok: http://www.allenedmonds.com/webapp/w...02&imageType=2

I also got a Canali shirt that looks to have eyeliner on it that looks like it should come out for $20 bucks.

I know some of you guys can get great deals all the time, but in Edmonton, things are usually actually more than MSRP if you can get it (like $400 AEs at the local menswear stores).

So I got these shoes in today, and they are slightly different than the pictures I posted from www.polo.com.

Most notably, they were in a purple box. I thought these were originally Polo shoes, but they are actually RLPL. The RLPL logo is on the inside of the shoe and engraved onto the sole as well. After constant struggle and GS pointed out to me that these aren't C&Js like I originally assumed, I called the store to inquire who the maker was. He told me that RL made in Italy shoes are made by the same maker that makes Prada and Gucci shoes.

I'm going to snap a couple pics and throw them up. The fit is spot on, definitely a good purchase.

Prada and Gucci shoes aren't made by the same company. Prada has its own factory--rather dodgy--and Gucci has Sergio Rossi, an in-house brand at the Gucci group. Besides, you wouldn't want RLPL shoes to be made by either of them. RLPL shoes should be made by Edward Green.

But didnt EG stop making RLPL shoes a year or two ago?

It sounds correct, RLPL went to Italian manufacturing....i remember reading a thread with a bunch of MC geezers whining about that fact.

But if the shoes fit and look cool it sounds like you got a good purchase

I was serious about the "recent" part as I ordered them a couple of hours ago. I hope they aren't too baggy though. We'll know when they arrive on my doorstep. They are having a sale, so if you are near a store, stop by and try one on, hop online and order with the code "summer08" for a further discount. I will keep you updated though.
