Did you go with the 34 5EPs?

Why didn't you pick up the APCs for $65?

Yeah Drizz, I sucked it up (or in rather) and went for the 34. They are tight in the butt and thighs but not unbearable. I am now thinking that some of you were right in that the bootcuts fit tighter. Cuz now that i think back on it what i tried on the last time had a button fly - the straights are zip-up. But I am sure they'll be really comfy after a few more wears.

The loomstates fit GREAT!!! I love them. The hem's a lil weird but hey, it's different!! [IMG]

Why no APC's? They were too big. They fit me very loose (i could pull them off with ease while buttoned) and i can only imagine that they'd be alot baggier than I'd like when they stretch. At $65 I was tempted to get em and ebay em but I decided not to. Still toying with picking them up though. We'll see.

Not exactly a recent purchase, but have just started wearing these. Ralp Lauren RRL lowrise bootcut, made in Japan. I am a 33-34 and these are tagged 31. They fit great but I suppose the waist is a *little* loose. The denim is superb, although not stiff at all.

That's probably true. Were they actually tagged 36? They'll probably be enormous then.

As far as the 5EPs go, I figure they'll fit me nearly perfectly. What jean would you compare the fit to that you own?

    Yup, they were 36's alright.

As for the 5ep the answer to your question is NONE. Until I joined this forum I had only purchased bootleg/flare jeans. My reason, yes I do have one, is that I have large feet. Size 12, 13 w/some Puma models. I hate that 'long foot' look. So I wore jeans that covered 1/2 my shoe to make them look smaller.

The fit is good - its like a glove. They are one wash but still pretty stiff. It'll feel uncomfortable for a little while but after walking a few blocks and climbing a few stairs, sitting, standing, yadda yadda -- they'll start to feel more comfortable. I am going straight home to put mine on and get a few hours wear outta them. From your posts you seem to be a bit more slender than I am so they shouldnt be as tight on you as they are on me. I'll take a pic later for the board.

PS: After walking around teh city all day in the yesterday and then riding teh subway home i already have some creases in the lap and more behind my knees.

Got a call from my salesgal at Paul Smith yesterday that the new Fall/Winter 06 shoes started to arrive so I meandered over and picked these up, exactly what I had been wanting him to make for Fall....dood reads my mind

burgundy brogued boots, (jeans hiked up) amazingly soft leather, goodyear welted. Look sick as fuck with jeans

Felt them yesterday, soft indeed. The burgundy color was very nice, I liked the sand distressed loafers and almost got them but the back was stitched up too funky. Maybe I'll still pick them up who knows.

They look great. I looked at them and thought "They look like 5EPs." Coincidence? Definitely not.

I found some shoes I liked but as far as clothing goes I'm getting warmer. I only got to hit 3 of the 8 stores I wanted to because of my schedule. I'll try again next week.

Went on a R&B binge last week.

Black RB6b, light indigo RB14b, and RBW1890 (slim fit, cinch back, suspender buttons, no beltloops) for the gf.

Oh yeah, some Nike dri-fit shirts and shorts for working out. I really like the material and fit. All at Marshalls for under 13 bucks a piece. Awesome!

    *edit: annoying typo

I haven't really worn it yet, but I really like it. The fit is similar to LVC 1947 (which is my favorite cut), but straight legged instead of slightly tapered. Being my first pair of R&B (I'm waiting to receive my RB6b from HTC), I am still admiring the beautiful construction. Overall, very happy with my purchase. I was thinking about a pair of RB11, but I thought it might be a bit too slim for my taste. This is just perfect for me.

    New Purchases:

Armani Collezioni black leather jacket: This is kind of a flat front bomber jacket in lambskin, pretty cool

Banana Republic black zip jacket: This is a black waist length jacket that is made of cotton with a nylon shell. Pretty slick jacket for fall.

Nudie Bootcut OLAs: My second pair of these, in Dark Worn, I couldn't resist the $89 deal at Barneys

5EP Straight Zip One Wash: I ordered these from Steven Alan, hopefully they fit.

Black Miu Miu Chelsea Boots: I bought these from SF member digital_denim. They are a black chelsea boot with sort of a line where a captoe would be, apparently in lambskin. They're very soft, kind of like a Varvatos boot would be, but not distressed. They are a fairly roomy 10, as I usually wear 10.5E and they fit just perfectly, like a glove. I love them [IMG]
