Those look great. Much better than some of the fits i've been seeing of those. The sizing seemed hard to judge but you did a excellent job for your first time. Enjoy em'.

picked up a pair of Slim selvage jeans by Hope (sweden) at Bloomies (40% off + had a coupon for another $25 off). Fits like a non-stretch Thin Finn. Getting its cold soak right now to size down the inseam

Used to sell Hope in the other shop where I worked. They make outerwear with fantastic cuts but the quality of the construction was bordering on the embarrassing for that price point. Still, they have great pieces. The designer apparently does Acne as well.

Congratulations. You're now both gay AND eurotrash. [IMG]

J/K. I don't hate Puma as much as some here do. Not my style still; it's your money, and not like you care what we think anyway.

They were a curatorial purchase. I'm sure I'll wear them now and then.

Over the last month or so...

    Attachment 7448
Second pair of 19cm, as the first are getting some good wear starting on them.

    Attachment 7449
    Fred Perry "Tailored."

    Attachment 7450
    Tretorn leather.

    Attachment 7451
Thought this Brooks Bros. was so ugly that it would actually be cool after alterations. I think it's just over the top enough to work, when worn with the right jeans and shoes.

    Attachment 7452
The 60s vintage plaid (not buffalo) Woolrich hunting coat was off ebay. Had that well-fitted by my tailor as well.

Yeah, I picked it up as I got a coupon code for it and figured I'd just return it if it didn't work out. Oh well, at least I get a ride in your Mini.

This jacket just came in. I was wondering if it looks possible to do any alterations? It's a little long, and the sleeves are a little big and long.

Just got a pair of black Frye Brandos in from zappos to go with my Surface to Air trench. I can't believe how much I had to size down, I'm normally a 14 or 14.5 depending on the manufacturer, but these are a 13 and theres still a bit of room.

    They look great though.

    xpost from MC.

I went to order a Jil Sander "Sartorial" MTM suit today.

    Fabric: English 120s wool.
    Color: Navy w/ blue pinstripes
The 1st picture is a better example of the swatch. I just had my camera phone and bad lighting.
The second I can't remember if it is the charcoal w/ the same blue stripe or the navy in a more natural light by the window. But, regardless you can see the color of the stripes better than the 1st pic.
Jacket: 2btn, center vent, working sleeve (4) buttons, no lapel hole, flap pockets, breast pocket, fully lined
Pants: European pockets, no cuffs, very slight break.

For those asking "What is the Jil Sander look/cut/shape?" from earlier in the thread I copied down some key words from the Sartorial binder.
The first and foremost is "lightness." To paraphrase you should recognize the suit as being light and comfortable from just looking at it, no matter what fabric is used.
Other things to note are: low, semi padded shoulders; seams directed to the back, long front parts, high button rows and light inners.
