I also got these at the Mr. Porter sale. (Currently sold out) They're going right back.

Lighter than I expected (not in a good way). More importantly, they look like womens' boots. Not unisex. Womens. It's not the cuban heel...I've got a few cuban heeled boots and none of them have that problem. It's just the whole look of the thing.

I know that's more acceptable these days than it used to be but it's definitely not my jam.

As for the furniture, the total furniture and decor bill I'm expecting for this new apartment looks to be about the same as an excellent leather jacket and a decent watch. Just trying to keep my tastes humble and not care whether the things I'm buying are derivative since I have neither the means, the interest nor the taste to appreciate the virtues of $2,000 coffee table or a $4,500 couch.

After going 18 months without a single purchase, I bought three pairs of high quality footwear this week.

Bought some unglazed natural shell jumper boots that I look forward to aging like the ones below.






All this talk of loafers got me hankering for some whiskey pennies so I pulled the trigger on something like these.





Fuumas white side zips made an impression. Unfortunately I couldn’t find anything that cool but these were on sale and a great design.

Yeah the second boots are viberg. Also unglazed natty shell.

I don’t have fuumas pic on hand but basically he had a fit pic about a week or two ago with some mmm side zips that were like a cream color. Anyway, the effect was just a light color side zip looks great with dark pants. Great inspo
