Haha I thought about going blonde/cream with it but a glove isn’t meant to be clean. Im trying to get Regis jr into baseball and mine was crapped out…
makes my old A2000 feel like a plastic glove from a toy store. If I were a pro I’d ball out and get the alligator. Nokona just makes good **** in general

Found a couple of random old grails- a Nigel Cabourn vest from 2010 that matches the jacket I bought back then and a denim shirt from ARN Mercantile, a former collaborator with Cabourn.

ARN Mercantile stuff is great if you can find any these days. I have this really odd set of theirs which is a lined vest and plus fours in chino fabric, and every single button is different.

ARN used to design all of Cabourn’s trousers back around 2010 and I still have a few pairs. They’re some of the more interestingly patterned clothes I own. It’s too bad they flamed out so hard. Neil used to come on here and sufu to talk trash about Cabourn, and I remember someone from a patterning house joining SF to track him down because he owed them money.

Yeah, I remember some of that. He didn't seem to be very business savvy. Loved his stuff though. I wonder what he's up to now.

He was recently on the Garmology podcast and talked about ARN as if it still existed. But I haven’t seen anything available in a long time. He also did a stint working for Asos, which seemed surprising.

I wanted to try a Gore-Tex rain jacket but it needed to be able to cover a blazer which I guess is a niche thing. I ended up finding a Canadian activewear discount site called The Last Hunt that had an Arc'teryx Veilance jacket for $377 CAD shipped. Seems like it's a 2020 model, maybe? But made in Canada and the coolest brand name and logo out there. Really impressed with it. The Stutterheim is getting the axe. I like a lot of the styling and materials of the Stutterheim but it's literally not a well designed rain jacket. The minimalism and fit of the Veilance is right on. Hasn't actually rained yet so I'll reserve the technical review. But it gets my initial thumbs up.

Oh, yeah, it came in a branded suit bag and hanger which made me laugh out loud when I opened the box. Like I know they're trying to brand themselves as fancy, rich people clothes but that's very funny. You're not allowed to have a dress Gore-Tex jacket.
