Custom Nokona 🤩

Found a couple of random old grails- a Nigel Cabourn vest from 2010 that matches the jacket I bought back then and a denim shirt from ARN Mercantile, a former collaborator with Cabourn.
ARN used to design all of Cabourn’s trousers back around 2010 and I still have a few pairs. They’re some of the more interestingly patterned clothes I own. It’s too bad they flamed out so hard. Neil used to come on here and sufu to talk trash about Cabourn, and I remember someone from a patterning house joining SF to track him down because he owed them money.ARN Mercantile stuff is great if you can find any these days. I have this really odd set of theirs which is a lined vest and plus fours in chino fabric, and every single button is different.

He was recently on the Garmology podcast and talked about ARN as if it still existed. But I haven’t seen anything available in a long time. He also did a stint working for Asos, which seemed surprising.Yeah, I remember some of that. He didn't seem to be very business savvy. Loved his stuff though. I wonder what he's up to now.
