I like the Despatch coat a lot, but that Barbour x Denham collaboration is awful, sorry. The external label is really gauche and at the same time completely uninteresting - like a store label - and the back fabric piece looks out of place. The shirts are fine; nothing remarkable.

Completely agree with BarbourxDenham jacket. To each, their own.

So I messaged cottle about their indigo yamabakama pants to see if they were going to restock, and it turns out they had enough extra fabric to make me a pair. They just showed up today and these are pretty amazing.

This fabric is really wild. It looks like it would be pretty thick but it's actually really light and airy. Super cool and comfy pants.

I’ve worn the Despatch once in torrential rain but not since. Waiting for the weather to not be as nice! Of course, everything is subjective and there are no wrong answers. I personally love the jacket but it’s fine if you don’t!

The quilted back panel has some really obvious Junya vibes which I like.

The collab logo patch looks worse than a normal Barbour logo/embroidery, which seems like a bad choice or just laziness.

the patch is my least favourite thing but I like the jacket too much to fuss. It has some cool details like a quilted front fastening bit and corduroy lined pockets and cuffs. I can see why people wouldn’t like it, and that’s fine!

I've just realised what it reminds me of - those labels on the sleeves of suit jackets that some people don't know you're supposed to remove (or just prefer to leave on)...
