Meh, lots of brands don't justify quality-wise the cost of their denim, doesn't mean the cut isn't good. Mayhaps the Lanvin jeenz just fit him super well?

Ordered one Lands End Elston Weave Shirt last week and it arrived.

What really attracted me to the shirt was its price: $7.97.

100% cotton, nice not-offensive color pattern, well-constructed, and even the cheap plastic buttons at least have 4 holes. I'm not a fan of button down shirts, but these are decent. I wear a large and this is a bit larger than a jcrew large, and that's fine with me. And the material is better than a typical jcrew shirt. There are size small available in a variety of patterns.

i just ordered a few more; the discount is still on and if your total surpasses $75 there's further savings and free shipping w/ the promotion code.

    etc., etc.

Gitman Bros, picked up at saks the other day. The fit is great, slim through the arms which is what I needed.

Lands End fits fairly boxy ('traditional fit' as they call it).

To be honest I don't really care. Everything is a matter of opinion and in my opinion these jeans were worth the price.

How do you like the H&M blazer? I saw that last time I was there but didn't check it out. Does it fit super-boxy and/or have really low-cut armholes?

i love it and can't believe i found something like that there.

i am a true 38R and it fits me well imo with or without shirt. i can wear it with a tee under and it is still slim. yeah you can say the armholes are cut low, bit of bunching if i raise my arm but i didn't mind. overall i really like it and has been a purchase of mine for awhile now. btw, tried on 40R also but bit long/baggy in sleeves overall--shoulder fit a tad better but nothing too noticeable.

Rad, many thanks for the info. I'll check it out next time I'm in (shudder) Rittenhouse Square. Probably soon, since I have to return a shirt to BR.

Speaking of which, there should be a "recent returns" section. I feel like I've kept maybe 20% of what I've bought lately.

If you buy the correct size they fit decently slim. The material/stitching/manufacturing is horrible though.
