^good price on those with the sale.

I picked up this Monitaly bomber but I'm weirdly stuck on deciding on shoes to wear with it.

Shoreman, I'm considering a Monitaly parka. No need for great detail, but can you tell me your take on construction and durabaility of the jacket. Also, any complaints?

This jacket is great. Trims are nice (zips aren't riri or whatevs but heavyweight and all double), milsurp style cuffs, collar has a good shape and keeps it. Whole thing feels well put together. Would definitely buy more if I could. Only worn it a couple times but no complaints yet--or, only complaint is the retail price. I handled a sample of one of their parkas at Capsule last year and it seemed great. Monitaly doesn't seem to half ass anything.

Awesome - thanks man.

This is just calling my name. Or the w/h Mac jack in jet-black. Need a lighter weight spring jacket. The mac, even though significantly more MSRP than the Monitaly, has much more versatility (solid vs. plaid) in my opinion and will allow me to wear it in more formal settings (eg business casual, and should pretty much match everything pants wise from just about any color chino, to creased gray formal slacks, to jeans, etc. The length is a slight concern - me being 5'8". But I think I could swing it w/o it accentuating my relatively shorter stature. I would guess it would hang about mid thigh. The model on Roden looks great wearing it, but he is about 6"1 if I remember correctly...hits him about right at the bottom of his butt.

I've been asking folks in the w/h thread to report in on the mac, but no bites so far...

Looked around for sizing info and each site that has measurements gives different ones, like 1 to 1.5in difference in ptp and length from store to store. If it doesn't work out I got it cheap enough that I should be able to re-sell and make most of the $ back.

CHCM also has the Monitaly parka, but in solid colors. CHCM's prices are a little higher
