I actually like a lot of Ferragamos, their pretty sleek and construction is good enough that it won't fall apart. MC just doesn't approve of the quality to price ratio at retail but their customer service in the store is top notch.

I think I already mentioned this story in the forum but I bought a Ferragamo belt from NM and about a year later I had to adjust its length. I was unable to by myself because it had a weird screw system. So I brought it to the Ferragamo boutique and asked an SA if he can adjust it for me and when the SA was unable to adjust it himself, he gave me a brand new one no questions asked. Still one of my best store experience I've ever had.

No kidding. There's nothing facepalm- or fu-worthy about them. At least 51% of the footwear in this thread is ( by far ) worse than those...

[/SPOILER] OC = Officine Creative ? If so, Marsell is out of OC's leaque. It's a class distinction from start to finish in every respect, although OC quality has improved drastically since 2010. I see and handle their footwear regularly at http://www.riccardocartillone.de/ in Berlin. The first two pairs of OC's I've handled about 3.5 years ago ( got them from Yoox ) bordered on insolence, though. Sloppily glued soles, sloppily glued insoles, coming loose/sloppily stitched seams - the list is long... Even though I agree that Marsell is grossly overpriced, I'd tab my forehead at everyone who persists in saying that they're of low quality. They're very well made and something you can't go wrong with when the price is right. Not carpe-diem-well, but well enough for us "Joe Blows" who live a more or less normal life... ( unless you're looking for something to go to war with ) First pair is fugly, second pair is great, btw...

I love those ! Ferragamo ( except the cemented 'Studio' line ) - besides Santoni 'Fatte a Mano' ( not to confuse with the cheap 'Goodyear' and 'Nuvola' lines. Their 'Signature' line, on the other hand, is a completely different price category...) Fratelli Borgiolo and a few others - ranks among my favorite Italian dress shoe manufacturers in that price range... What line are yours ? Lavorazione Originale/blake-constructed ?

The 'Studio' line says 'Studio' at the insole and 'Tramezza' and 'Lavorazione Originale' have the corresponding words at the outsole. There's a another line, if I remember correctly, whose name I can't recall at the moment though.... Edit: The fourth line is simply called 'Main Line'...

I think when he said OCs he was referring to opening ceremony...

I am having second thoughts on the marsells and I am acutally thinking I wont get them. To be honest, AFL's fit pics are what really made me decide not to get them. I think they're a bit clunky and not 'modern' looking enough. And I hear they run large.

Yeah, your feet always look so huge. Wouldn't want to further accentuate that.

They don't have the sleekest shape, and yes, they run large. Mine are 41, I usually take a 42 or 43.

I have tiny feet so AE PA's are actually perfect for me. They also have a fairly chunky sole to give me a couple extra inches, which is nice.
