1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Gonna put in an order for that silver pair we discussed. Boutique still doesn't have them and Mykita won't ship to me, so I'll use the same store you did.

Was considering some Desert Boots. But then I was in Barcelona last weekend and found these.

Nope -- those are chukkas. Desert boots are a variant of chukkas that are defined by their crepe sole.

Every issue of Kinfolk magazine over the past month. I just paid $150 for the first issue. Someday, when I am tired of reading them, I'll sell the whole set to some hipster for a million dollars.

Junya knit from Hostem sale, they had it cheaper than TBS. Had a nice chat with the guys there about Lad too (I was wearing Lad / Spacemen 3 tee).

there were better / more exciting pieces from Junya SS15, and the baller knit connoisseurs would probably be disappointed its 100% cotton, but it works great with my cropped Visvim jeans + Vanz - overpriced surf-grunge thing.

€360 after a minimal discount. Though I expect to get another €72 (VAT) back at customs when I briefly go home to the States at the end of the month.

But worth every penny. Spanish shoemakers aren't as celebrated as those from England, so their shoes don't really command the same exorbitant prices. But Carmina is definitely playing in the big leagues. A few weeks before I bought these I went and tried on suede chukkas at Church's and Edward Green, then some Tods and Paul Smiths (for shits and giggles) at Harrods.

The Carmina's were the only pair that hit that right balance of durability and comfort while keeping a classic look and remaining lightweight enough for warmer weather. Been wearing them a lot and they've required no breaking in and caused no blisters. Mainly I bought them for all-day walking in warmer months, and they seem suited to the task. I especially like how the rubberized sole is hidden under a leather outsole so you wouldn't know it was there unless you looked close.

Curious to how you like the Lad shop coat. Was looking to pick it up and now that it's on sale too...
