Thanks for the input. Yes, I am looking at mainline RO trousers in wool, and another in cotton blend. Slim fitting and they have full size run 48 to 52.
Is a 48 usually a 34" waist?

KG: No RO dunks, but looking for black trousers to wear with Guidi etc.

These in particular aren't very slim fitting. The size down was too tight on me but still wasn't slim fitting either. I think eu sizing lately has been 48 = 32, 50 = 34 and 52 = 36. RO has been really inconsistent though so I would try and find measurements for each item. You might honestly find something closer to what you want with Damir Doma mainline.. I've never seen wool on Boris Bidjan Saberi, but those are really great to wear with boots. Although the XL pair I got was like a 32" waist so sizing is also a bit all over the place. MA+ is also really good. HLorenzo and Archive SF are having their sale right now so you will def find something in that aesthetic there.

I will probably try out the RO first. The store has been responsive to the Yohji inquiry I had earlier.

completely different pants. these are mainline rick owens trousers/chinos.  waxed detroits are jeans usually from drkshdw and fit 2 or 3 sizes too small. 

waxed detroits, stay TTS or size down 1.

I had one of those scarred tees and I would actually not recommend them. They're not reinforced at the scar so there's a good chance it'll become larger (mine tore in the wash). They also run a size big.
