GATs are great for casual. slouchy looks, and terrible for more polished ones IMO. Unless I really dress down, I have diffuculty pairing mine with most of my wardrobe.

Doesn't mean they won't work for you, of course, depending on your aesthetic.

Just received my first real SW&D purchase (I don't know if APCs count) but I'm not sure if I'm going to keep them. The length of the tongue bothers me, any guidance from GAT vets?

my leather bags get too heavy and warm during the summer and the leather shoulder straps ruin my light weight shirts and knits so I I bought a nylon Prada which will be my last bag purchase for a while. I also enjoyed shopping at Prada...the sales associate was so nice and cute :embar:

Don't like it in a very casual fit, would be fine with something mensweary like grey slacks and a dress shirt with some nice shoes or in-between like button-down + jeans and your MMM gats or some sturdy wingtips. or zip boots.

Buy real GATS for $60 and stick in superfeet. Tongue is shorter and I like mine better than the morgellons regardless of price.

Another Robert Geller Richard, this time from our B&S (FW12 version in polyester fleece, midnight), a couple of pairs of socks from MrPorter (woot, free gift), some summer henleys from Alternative Apparel (my deal, apparently), um, a short sleeve "trucker" type of shirt from Brema that has a nod to a Johnny collar - reminds me of hanging out on Third Street in LA back in the early 2000s - essentially hunkering down for summer. Probably get some more Buttero chukkas and also work on my Viberg MTO Service boots, but other than that, and perhaps the occasional hat or belt, and replacements for things like jeans, I'm done until FW (well, I'll probably pick up one or two things from the Geller sample sale for myself too, but that is a given.)
