1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    The saga continues....

The seller just sent me a second paypal payment to offset the cost of the fee, which means I have all my money back (plus $4 for some reason) and he needlessly paid a significant fee when he could have just refunded me through ebay.

Am I getting set up for something here?

File a claim through eBay and let them sort it out. You can return his PayPal "refund" after you receive your $ back through ebay.

Yes you are. If you don't initiate a claim through ebay, you're not protected at all. Open an item not received case, and say you want a full refund. He won't be able to provide tracking and you'll win and he'll have to refund you through ebay. Up to you how you want to deal with his "refund", I'd just send it back.

Either that or be on the lookout for a coke bottle in your mail box...

You're getting set up - he can wait out the claim period on your payment, and then file a claim on his payments saying you did not ship the item he bought. You will then not be able to get your item refunded, but he'll keep all his money.

File an Ebay claim for item not received, or have him refund the money. Under no circumstances leave it as is.

Thanks, guys. It's too early to file an item not received claim, but I called ebay and they advised me to send the seller a cancel transaction request, which I did.

    Waiting for a response.

Will be shovelling snow like a Lawd in a few weeks.

Seriously though $80 for a chunk of Merino is pretty ridiculous but I wanted one last year and opted out then had to deal with 5 months of sub zero temperatures and the highest snowfall in North America. I told myself if they brought it back I'd grab one.

    Burgundy looks pretty villainous too.

I remember someone somewhere on this site said The Lab was great bang for buck. I gotta agree. Nice leather, nice last, looks cool when worn, Blake stitched, finished well. Can't complain.

but the seller refunded me saying "his printer couldn't print the international shipping label". So I think, okay, well maybe he can just write the address on the envelope or find some other place to print, but no, he just listed it again and I'm guessing I shouldn't even bother. :(

I don't even know how I feel about it, it was one of those low risk things (heavy discount, free returns) so we'll see when it shows up.
