1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

in 1918 the spanish flu killed 5% of the global population, almost 100 million people. that's why you get flu vaccines.

you're a complete idiot. there's only .25 to .5 mL of total volume in a vaccine shot. it's not the concentration of mercury that's toxic it's the amount of exposure you receive daily.

seriously shut the fuck up with your pseudoscience hippy bullshit.

we haven't 'cured' them but many of basically no longer exist in the west, similar to polio (which is still common in asia and africa). also aids treatment.

    also smallpox.

Check out WHO reports on multi- and extreme-drug resistant strains of TB. Not definitive but it sure isn't pretty , and people keep abusing antibiotics.

yes and there's clusters of kids dying from whooping cough because their stupid upper middle class parents don't believe in vaccines, put them in small schools, and they infect each other. tb incidence is way down from where it was 70 years ago though. aids treatments are pretty incredible too.

@conceptual 4est Like salmiaki? A friend of mine from Sweden sent me a pack and it's tough to finish a piece. Cannot handle all the super strong flavors.
