There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Been coat/jacket hunting for ages... Wanted a smarter one and one with a removable/store-able hood)

Smart: Picked this us from Reiss in the sale. £265 down to £109. The fit is so good too! Really happy with this!

Also picked up this Diesel Wanton jacket. £260 down to £115. Waiting for it to arrive.

Lastly I bought another coat from Scotch and Soda. £185 bought it for £80.

Will be returning either the Diesel or Scotch and Soda depending on which I prefer as I only need one hooded coat.

Never tried Paraboot before. Well made and very comfy.

My only defence is they were 60% off. I'm not sure if they go with everything....or nothing???

Each to their own. Which one don't you like, and why?

The Diesel is just plain overdesigned and gaudy.

The other two are just boring. Definitely not 'protagonist' material.

I've had Paraboot before - bought a pair of walking shoes years ago when I was living in Paris..

    Super comfy and fantastic quality..

    Enjoy them - they're a great buy!:)

Hmm fair enough. I'm a fan of understated clothing myself. I don't necessarily look for clothes which will attract attention.

The Diesel hasn't arrived yet so I'll see what it's like in real life. However you certainly are painting a fine line between boring and gaudy as all three are pretty basic coats. I'm unsure of what Definitely not 'protagonist' material." means.

I'm interested to see what you expect from a winter jacket. Please share.

Great cardigan, but I only own 2 v neck navy cashmere jumpers to leave the house in as I own 2 Siamese cats, who leave fur on knitwear that doesn't wash out, so I have to wear ski thermal vests underneath my shirts in winter to stay warm!

    Enjoy wearing it!:)

There's a world of difference between understated and boring. See something like Margarat Howell as an example of the former. Well designed goods aren't boring. (Also, how is that glossy, garbage bag looking Diesel jacket not drawing attention?)

Focus less on the discount and more on the quality of the piece, in all aspects.

Also, "protagonist material" is going to be my new materia for judging clothes from now on.

    Instakop: Protagonist material
Buy if you can make it work: Antagonist material
Meh: Random NPC #3 (credit @thewho13)
No: "Helpful" NPC whom you have to keep talking to over and over again
