Y u buy something you cannot wear?

EDIT: Actually, guess I used to do it a lot too and still do at times. After all, I did buy a RO prisoner jacket from Mr. Porter sale in the winter with absolutely no other clothing of that genre in my wardrobe :embar: and was really tempted to buy some ZamB pants this past week from his sample sale but realized I don't have much if anything to wear them with/that's not the aesthetic direction I want to pursue. All part of the learning process.

    42. Even so, this world has a finite amount of steez; you will need to save some for the rest of us. :paranoia:

I've got big plans for these blue shoes: wear 'em 'till they're nice and dirty, then bleach them to something approaching the distressed blue of other models, then nearly white, then dye them a shiny black.... This way I'll get to have it all (I hope).

it's also a good way to build your wardrobe. s'like - damn i got these 600 dollar pants that only look cool in one outfit. but then you add more heat and you slowly (too fast?) build up a pretty sweet wardrobe over time. only problem is if you don't know what you're doing and try to go in too many different directions. then it's trubs....i really have to make a sales thread

Regardless of that, was it a good deal or do these go for that low often?

But if I just find the proper pair of DD runway shorts from 2009, the one outift I have been collecting ofr 2 years will finally be complete! Oh, and then I need to find some shoes, too. Oh, and maybe some pants to go with that stuff when it's colder. Oh, and maybe a DD long sleeve or sweater to go with that. Hm, but then I need a better winter jacket, because that summer leather isn't going to fit over a thick knit. And I can't wear the summer shoes with the winter outfit. I guess I need some boots too. Hmmm.

The point at which you'll stop buying new pieces of clothing is always n+1, where n is the number of items you currently own.

And once you reach saturation point you say fuck it and just wear a leather jacket over a white tee and jeans for a month.

...only need a pair of tapered pants. damage not too high...

Although I agree the cycle needs to end somewhere. I'm gonna start a "contentedness" thread where if you're feeling itchy you must post pics of all the items you already own and love. If you're really feeling it, the forum will then suggest new and interesting things to do with what you already own.

I know, man. It's just I'm pretty tapped out and need to be saving all my money (like I should have been for the past 3 months). Like I said, love the shoes and would love to build the wardrobe that matches, but now is not the time. Which uniqlo trousers are good options? I tried to get the +J a while ago through suddenlee, but they were sold out.
