great shirt - too bad it seems I am in between sizes for Gitman Vintage

I'm not sure what you've tried on, but I have a GBV oxford in the same size and it seems to be considerably bigger and baggier than this. I just posted about it in the Gitman thread. Maybe not all hope is lost?

Lanvin belt from www.matchesfashion.com came today. Lanvin does do cool stuff with grosgrain.

Cross-posting from the leather jackets thread, just got this today.

Here's my current debate - should I cut out the Margiela tag? I'm talking about the one with the numbers on it, where line 14 is circled. I feel like it's going to get caught on something and rip the lining. I know it's fancy and Margiela-ish, but it's just tacked in on the four corners. (I've seen versions of this jacket where it's covered in plastic, almost like it's laminated.

I'd take a seam ripper to that.

leave the tag, it won't get in the way. and it will help the resale value (if it ever comes to that) + street cred :slayer:

Are you saying the collar shape? or the material?

It's real shearling fur, I just had a bad pic, make it look like purple-ish grey, but it's black. They didn't shear it too short. Maybe that's why?

My Walk Over suede chukkas arrived, and I will be returning them, in lieu of a much better shoe...But anyways, a quick review:

-Suede was hard and not particularly soft or supple, made the shoe seem uncomfortably stiff.
-Shoes run TTS, I sized down by 1/2 and they were too snug
-The red brick sole combined with a relatively unsleek last made them look like sneakers from certain angles
-The toe box was blobby and the profile was unpleasant
-Shoes seemed sturdy, but meh
