You're going to wear a bowtie to funerals? You bunch of fucking little runts, learn some manners. I hardly wear ties but sometimes you got to do it.

I looked upon the scene before me - upon the mere sweater, and the simple composition of the picture - upon the bleak walls - upon the vacant eye-like diamonds of the pattern - upon a few rank colors - and upon a few narrow rows of absurd fair-isle - with an utter depression of soul which I can compare to no earthly sensation more properly than to the after-dream of the reveller upon opium - the bitter lapse into everyday life - the hideous dropping off of the veil. There was an iciness, a sinking, a sickening of the heart - an unredeemed dreariness of thought which no goading of the imagination could torture into aught of the sublime. What was it - I paused to think - what was it that so unnerved me in the contemplation of the Raf sweater ? It was a mystery all insoluble ; nor could I grapple with the shadowy fancies that crowded upon me as I pondered.

thats like saying, i always leave my pants unbuttoned, constricting my waist is no good.

proper tie should never constrict your neck.

Eh personal preference, never been a fan. I would rather do the Margiela thing and wear a cream light scarf under a suit with nothing else on, if Im remembering that right. Hell our own Pres prefers no ties

I like wearing ties, although I don't wear them too often. This first semester at school, I tried to do a fancy friday with ties etc, but at my school it made me stand out in really the wrong way so I knocked it off. I think when the occasion calls for a tie, having a few sharp options is key. It sets you apart quickly. Also, I'll be headed to law school in a little over a year, figure i'll need some for that.

Since I'm headed to Europe in a few weeks, figure I can get away with dandier pieces for a while without worrying about those accusatory stares

I wear a suit/tie at work everyday, I don't understand why someone would wear one for fun
Playing dress-up once in awhile is fun, but not regularly...
