This holiday season, I bought a pair of shoe from Barney's and all the rest from Porter.

Porter, Porter, how can I stop loving you? :inlove:

I bought the rafstros too, originally picked size 43 but they sold out while I was checking out so switched to size 44. My Nike tennis shoes are size 44 and feel a bit tight so it was probably the right move.

Also picked up that Acne duffle coat from Mr Porter.

I now have a nice collection of coats: Acne duffle, ToJ chesterfield, St James pea coat. Looking forward to winter...

I got these for like 200 dollars AUD shipped to my door in 3 days

MrPorter is awesome, best webstore for Australians IMO

Purchased these two jackets from the MrPorter sale last night, as well as a bunch of other things.

Does anybody here have any experience with either of these two jackets? Kind of impulse buys for me. I'm hoping that the sleeve lengths don't end up being too long for me, as the ribs don't seem tight enough on either jacket to allow for some bunching as opposed to just falling too far down my arms.

I took a look at the Mr. Porter sale and nothing appealed to me.. I guess that's a good thing. I have too many clothes.

Almost the perfect camera for me, with a couple weird exceptions, mainly the focus, which is slow and unreliable compared to an SLR (but still better than a point and shoot). It feels wonderful to use, though, especially if you're used to film cameras.
I wish I used it more, I have an S95 I take everywhere with me. I never take my X100 overseas with me because I'm afraid of something happening to it, but I guess I need to get over that... Then again, I break almost a camera every year or two traveling, so makes it's not a good idea...

Porter is great for business casual type basics, imo, not so good for streetwear/workwear. Lots of Raf/Jil etc dress shirts for really great prices.

I didn't even look at the Mr Porter sale, after having looked at the corner's 40+40 thing that day, and realizing that I really wanted nothing in any of those stores... I clicked on P+B today somehow and noted that all the Rick and the gothninja'ish stuff was 75% off, and the workwear'ish was going on at no sale...

Yeah there's some gems for sure, but you have to look for those a little more / get them within 8 hours of the sale.

Yeah I just got an NX200 which is not so great with focusing. And I also keep reaching for my S90 which seems easier to take shots with, although perhaps I'm just not used to the NX200. I've also realized I hate lens caps.

BTW, if you're interested in this stuff, Fuji is announcing a new camera in about 4 hours that's basically an X100 with interchangeable lenses. It's getting lots of buzz. http://www.mirrorlessrumors.com/
