That's a nice lad. Those Helmuts are awesome, nearly as much so as the blue soled Jil derbies

    Thanks guys!

I think Chauncey is pretty good. I’ve only handled a few pieces so far though. The knits are quite nice (mine is a open link linen-cotton mix), most of the colors/shades are on point, and the pieces are refined with interesting details (I like the shoulder on mine - the shoulder seam is curved so it appears to have a slouchy quality, but it still fits correctly so to speak). Just hope it doesn't stretch too much.

I actually passed on it when Funky/Sept sold it. Kinda regretted it, saw it for sale again, took it as a sign, and bought. The fit is great on me and the color (which both interested me / made me hesitate) is nice and fits well into my mostly monochrome wardrobe.

I much prefer those helmuts, esp. their toe shape. I saw someone wearing the blue soled jils the other day (black upper) and god they look like clown shoes.

Those look weird in brown.... (also, stock pictures made them look so much better, the soles there look so plastic-y) I was just referring to the contrast soles. That pointed Helmut toe is definitely more along my vein (though I suppose you could DIY the soles with little effort)

Thanks, I should check it out. I've heard good things about the label too.

Any desire I had to get those Jil shoes is gone after seeing that pic. I remember someone (forget who though...some blog) bought and returned the pink sole version and they looked off as well.

    Will do!

I was in Jil store last spring to check out those shoes. Does not match anything in my wardrobe. I think RFX has the pink soled, but probably he never wear it.
