i just got my raf simons in the mail today, they have holes in the knee areas and when i was putting each leg in my toe caught the hole area and i heard a small ripping sound, but it didn't do any damage. i noticed the holes nearer to the groin area have patches behind the holes to conceal any skin. how would i go about doing this to the other holes? the jeans were $300 so i don\t just want to give up on them, especially since the fit is spot on. i realize i have to buy patches and flip the jeans inside out, but is there higher quality material for patches i should buy and how do i put the patch on so it will last.

A boatload of Wings+Horns - a pair of white lowtops, a black jersey blazer, 2 wool crewneck sweaters, and a cashmere v-neck waffle sweater (sort of a faux cardigan). So stoked... hope that it stays cool around here. It was 68 today. Nearly perfect (65 is perfect).

Follow-up suggestion: Don't buy jeans that already have holes in them.

It depends on the holes. But nothing wrong with this.

i think i'm going to patch the other holes like the one that comes prepatched and trim off some of the fraily shit that is blowing in the breeze. i think they'd look better that way.

For the PNW I set a minimum of 15k, but I also am probably at a few thousand feet under you

Y u no kop ContourGPS? Also, Oakley outerwear, really? I find it pretty underwhelming (Orage on the other hand, I nearly bought a JP Auclair but forgot about it during Spring and it sold out [IMG])

It's far from the best tech-wise and the prices put it in competition with some heavy hitters. Wouldn't be terrible somewhere high and dry though (Utah, Colorado, etc.) if it holds up well

Yeah I'm in the rockies so it's not quite as bad. When I was in PNW I'd have a 30k suit and a lesser suit, depending on weather. Doing the same setup here. Oakley varies. The Primed stuff is Seth Morrison's outerwear, and it's better than the best stuff Orage makes. You won't find anything better, just on par. Like a lot of companies they make different lines and stuff is of different quality even within the "Pro Rider" series. Simon Dumont's stuff (the corked suit, last year) uses relatively shitty material but it's still not bad. Seth's stuff though, they use the best. I know exactly what you mean because there was a period there where they only made garbage (when they were doing that digicamo one piece everyone bought) and it was awful. Traditionally though they used to have one ultra tech line, around 2005 they were making 3L gore shells with airvantage lining and it was pretty much the best stuff on the market. The Armada stuff is eVent fabric, and almost as good though slightly more fragile apparently. They switched to Dryrex this year to drop the cost a bit. As for the contour, the HD is selling for 160 right now on Backcountry, not gonna get a 1080p helmet cam much cheaper than that. If I was paying full price I'd probably have got a gopro with a chest mount.
