chainstitching on denim is in fact not chain stitching, but a double lock stitch. i believe there's not a lot of machines that are made to do that, the union special being the only machine that i personally know that can do it

how has no one posted anything worthwhile in like 4 pages of this thread?? robert, no one gives a **** about your thoughts on the differences between UO and jcrew. take your convo to random fashion thoughts or the jcrew thread where you can discuss which of the two is shittier. in the meantime...happy birthday me

Ha ha yeah ^ this is soooo worthwhile. Great post!

In all honesty, the shirt's OK. But it's just a Gant. And that sweater (if that's what it is) looks like it COULD have come from the shelves of UO. And that tie is hideous.

Thinking of picking up some 511 cords at UO. Yes or no?

I thought the mods restricted you to the jcrew thread with all the other clothing marsupials?

sqf4u- have gant shirts changed their cut? I remember trying one on a year or so ago and it was hard for me to find a size that fit. Could never get the shoulders, body, arms to all work together on me

Nope, far as I know I'm free to mingle with you and all the other pretentious assholes!

I think you have to be heavy to fit Gants right. They fit me like a sack.

I think we need to throttle his post output somehow and teach him how to use multi-quote and edit functions.

you can see it says "the rugger" on the inside of the collar of the shirt. this is not the normal gant line.
