    Hello.

Long time lurker here. I haven't posted much yet because frankly, I don't have much to post. Hopefully that is starting to change.

So. I graduated from the university about 10 days ago and decided that it was time to buy my very first, quality suit, to wear at up-coming job interviews and hopefully at work as well. I decided to go for a navy suit with soft sholders, as I've taken a liking to the neapolitan style, rather than suits with very constructed shoulders. The suit and shirts are still at the tailors and I'm anxiously waiting to get them home. They were supposed to be done Wednesday, but you know, Mañana. I wonder though, do you gentlemen think this suit is too formal to wear outside of work for say weddings, dinner with the girlfriend and such? Here is a picture of the suit in question:

I also bought some accessories and small goodies featured below, because, you know, I thought I deserved it. ;)

First up is a pocketsquare from Rubinacci, the "Victory". I took a real liking to the motive and the story behind it, felt it was very romantic and so I just couldn't pass up on it. I also suspect that it will match very nicely with the suit above, especially when folded in a puff or three-point fold. Do you gentlemen agree, or am I just being crazy?

Next up is a tie from Saman Amel, the "Atlier Lt Green", in 100% silk. Again, I think this would match the navy suit quite well, but I fear the colour might be a bit too light and that a darker green would've been preferred. Here's hoping!

I know what you're thinking: 'A scarf, in summer? Is he crazy?' Well, people do like to say that I am. But in my defense, it was on sale. For those of you who might be curious, it's from Berg and Berg. And speaking of...

I also got this from Berg & Berg! 70% cashmere, 30% silk raglan sweater. For those casual moments in the summer! Happy weekend everyone! :)

    Nice purchases Squire!

The navy SB suit is IMO probably the most versatile suit option. With that in mind, there's no reason why one couldn't dress it down, with limits of course. Other than that, from the picture the suit does look kind of nice, I usually prefer 2-buttons over the above with 3 (just looks better on me), but hell, it works. A fine choice to go with for a first quality suit.

The pocket square is nice too, can't really say much about the tie. Maybe a bit on the casual side for job interviews (depending on what jobs you're seeking).

I have nothing against men wearing scarves during summer, frankly I applaud them, but I just can't pull it off. If one can, it can look really smashing.

Berg & Berg has some quality stuff and I am fond of grey sweaters, so there's that.

Overall, by all means not a bad haul!

Thank you! Or is it 'kiitoksia'?

I do get what you mean as regards to 2 vs 3-button suits, and I too tend to prefer 2-button suits. However, I've recenty started warming up to, not traditional 3-button suits, but rather, 3 roll 2 suits. They function just as 2-button suits do, with the added twist of a third button. Sprezza! ;)

Yeah, I'll probably stick to a brown or navy tie. I'll mostly be seeking positions in accounting, so I figure the environment will be quite formal. About the scarf: I don't plan on wearing it during summer (I think), I just couldn't pass up on it being 50% off.

Spoo, waiting for a review and closer look at those Panta, although Ed can do no wrong (hasn't yet).

    Very nice.

Can't say the pocket handkerchief and its motifs are "romantic" though...more like a complete "Up yours" to Lord Hamilton.

That's what makes it romantic, my friend. ;)

In all fairness, what did he expect, marrying someone less than half his age. Lord Hamilton? More like Lord Sugardaddy.

And I gots sum new stuff! Pretty basic, I know, but I was in dire need of a formal tie.
