1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Oh, so nice. Although they are visually reminding me of something else that I won't mention here....

    [back to our regular programming...]

I got my Sutor's from STF today and couldn't be more pleased. Leather is great (@othertravel: I'm not an expert, but I believe it is not corrected grain), fit and finish is fantastic and I am thrilled with the design.

There might be a fly in the ointment however; my right foot is a 10.5+ (think 10.65 or 10.7). The right shoe is officially "snug". Not cramped, but snug. I'm thinking it'll be fine with break-in or maybe even need to get just a little stretched, but I'm on the fence. I need to get a few days space to make sure I'm being objective and not being blinded by a want for them to work.

The pics seem to have gathered a lighter reddish tone from the afternoon light; they aren't light or reddish at all but rather an ever so slightly on the lighter side of oak color with subtle antiquing.

@europrep and @mrjester - I'll try and followup with better info on sizing re: experience with other lasts; in short I'd say they run the usual italian snug, but not overly so - if I was a standard 10.5 on both feet, I think I'd be happy. But, stay tuned....

Two grenadine Garza Fina ties from Chipp2/Winston Tailors. Very pleased. Navy and Sage colors respectively. Hope to get plenty of mileage out of both!

Both look like great ties - they should last ages if you take good care of them!:)

Beautiful ties! I was on the fence about ordering a couple due to the 3.25" width as I was hoping for 3.50". But I think that you just convinced me to pull the trigger. Cheers!

These are some nice shoes. Are the shoe trees lasted and are they Blake constructed?

For the Sutors that I've gotten from STF, these included, they have plastic lasted shoe trees. I'll note that while the idea of "plastic" shoe trees brings to mind cheap discount bin things, these aren't - they are actually lasted and they have a complicated hinged middle with a large "screw" that allows you to dial up/back the tension on them. Granted, I'd rather they were wood just, but even being made of plastic they are pretty darn trick.

re: Blake construction - I believe so. I hesitate to give a definitive answer because I've been occasionally corrected when I thought Blake vs. Goodyear in the past; especially on items like these where the construction is tidy and there aren't more obvious clues...

I just checked the STF website and it states that they're indeed Good Year welted, that's good to know. Now my dilemma is should I go with them or a Carmina pair in the same style. Decisions, decisions.
