1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Given that the other person who posted has only been around a month, I'm going to guess that's directed at me.

Thanks. It will need some restoration, but I think it will be spectacular once it's completed.

Ghurka "Eton" Briefcase. Fairly rare - was lucky to find this in dead stock condition.

Tanner Krolle, kopped from the 'bay. From the fonts used on the inside - does anyone have any idea what "the John Mendez Collection" is? - I'm guessing it was made between the mid '60s and the mid '70s. There are some blemishes at other, less flattering angles and the interior looks to be original. Hardware probably needs work. It's to be on its way soon and I'll have a better sense of things, but overall it looks to be in pretty bad ass condition. The leather can probably use a good conditioning.

Really, I'll have a better answer for that question once it comes in. I've already emailed TK about their restoration services though.

I know it's not yet even spring - and I'm still wearing wool vests here in Tokyo - but I couldn't resist wearing one of the new linen ties from Post-Imperial... it is bright, but coupled with a restrained surrounding, works very well.

It is indeed. And the young Japanese tailors at the very hip alternations place where I went today were totally into the tie, especially when I showed them the fringing. I had to give them the Post-Imperial web address before I could leave!
