Man, I need to make it to Ian's warehouse next time I go home to LA. I recently stumbled across a mini treasure trove of Kiton - got a blanc blu super 180s suit, two cashmere sportsjackets (one is a 54R and doesn't fit me so it's gonna be on B&S soon) and a few ties Indigo Dior Homme jeans 3 different Incotex chinolinos and a gray wool houndstooth Raided the Y3 final sale in Orlando and scored a couple of casual jackets and sneakers for $50 apiece Also went a little crazy on more cashmere than I'll ever need - RLPL, Cucinelli and Ballantyne Stupidly passed on a Thom Browne suit for $500 - came to my senses, went back, and it was gone

Some tan L.L. Bean boat shoes, vintage Huntington sack suit (navy w/ pinstripe). I don't buy much these days, maybe one or two things a month.

I bought what must be one of the most eccentrically patterned jackets ever. Needs a few little alterations before it will fit me, but here's a pic of it on a mannequin to tide you over:

Enjoy. Or throw up. Whichever works for you.

Oh, and I also got a solid navy Black Fleece suit too.

Holdfast, this looks crazy. I love it. What pants/shoes would you wear with this?

Or both perhaps? This garment causes me great cognitive dissonance, and yet I am oddly charmed by it!

I share Chrenetique's curiosity about how you make this work. I'm thinking maybe with khaki trousers/cords and brown shoes?

Hmm, well, actually wearing it might be tricky, admittedly...

Since it's unlined, it should work on cooler (ie English) spring & summer days, so maybe off-white trousers or khakis and sky blue or lilac shirt.

In autumn and on warmer winter days, perhaps jeans and a cream or pink shirt. Or cords, yeah.

I'll think more once I get it tailored and into my wardrobe... in the meantime, more suggestions welcome!

hey, those A&S ties are pretty cool; I think they make the list of "styleforum collector's items" that pop up from time to time!

well, here is the first part of my haul of new stuff, to create "Fox Wardrobe 2.0"

Keep in mind these are purchases made between September 2008 - May 21 2009; finally got to see them for myself when I got back home for a few weeks.

Pictures are bad, either in the dirty bathroom mirror or taken by jumping in front of the camera (couldn't figure out the timer on the new dig camera!!)

Crockett and Jones suede Albanys. Pictures on websites do NOT do these justice, they are extremely nice handgrades and are buttery soft brown polo suede. they are already some of my favorite shoes, really great purchase from pediwear.

Next, the clothing that has already been tailored (with exception of sleeves/ buttonholes):

Heavy tweed jacket by Douglas Hayward:

grey RL Purple Label suit:

Zegna MTM

RL Purple Label suit2:

I'll post pix of the untailored stuff next (plan on getting this stuff turned in for tailoring in the next few days)

Not so much a last purchase, more a yes or no question? RL jacket I picked up a while back. Unsure of the fit (nb ignore sleeves - have yet to be tailored). Is there a, for lack of better description, 'yes/no' thread on the forum?
