1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

    There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Small potatoes given the recent posts, but still a winner - a 100% wool Gitman Brothers "Vintage" Harris Tweed overshirt. Got lucky to spot it on B&S just when it got posted and instakop.

    That is a great looking shirt;
    kind of curious, is it scratchy?

    Got it today and love it; it's as thick as a light coat! Interestingly, the wool is fundamentally soft but a bit scratchy on the surface. I'll be using it as an overshirt plus I suspect the scratchier surface fibers qwill wear down" with time. It's a great, great piece. Just need it to cool a bit more here in Florida...

    Good to know, I like the look of that shirt and will have to keep my eyes out for one. I have an old PRL wool buffalo plaid over shirt that is really scratchy but great with a turtleneck or mock neck. In the northeast I wear it frequently on weekends during the colder months.
