1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Since I broke a toe about 6 weeks ago, my running has been replaced with trail biking (we don't have mountains in Florida, trails and occasional hills are as good as it gets) and I needed some new gear for out in the dirt.

    Shimano MT43 shoes

Fox "Sergeant" shorts in grey. I've got the Khaki already and these are, hands down, the best shorts for biking and almost any other outdoor activity - $100 well spent.

...and then went small time nuts on Malford's latest batch of Avi Rossini OTC socks; was hoping for wool/nylon, but the cottons looked so good that I caved. Stocked up on a range of cream/beige that I've been lacking and one nice heathered grey that I don't need but coudn't resist.

I'm a sucker for a nice pair of socks, and I tend to grab 'em when they pop up and toss 'em in a drawer. They're inexpensive enough to not make a dent and nice enough to be very rewarding when I finally need them and pull them out. Ahhh, the simple things....

+1. It's always a great feeling to have nice new socks, cotton can sometimes get a bad rap, but they do make great socks! I prefer it to wool even.

Interesting. My only cotton experience has been with lesser brands, so I'm looking forward to giving these a shot at changing my mind. I'm pretty sure they will bring me 'round.

yep, saw the bracelet style in Italy and liked it with a sportcoat. trendy, I know-- but still thought it was cool, very into blue at the moment.

JustinKapur, PM me and can give you the source-- very reasonable price, too.

Snagged a pair of light grey POW linen trousers to add to my anti-Florida-summer arsenal. Looks like a pleasant, mild POW. Not FU, but maybe a touch of pretentious sneer.

I'm hoping the closeup with the smattering of browns and blues is a better rep than the larger pic that is infected with the pixelated jaggies.

Ok, if for some reason they don't pan out I'll pitch them your way before I do a return. But don't get your hopes up, the more I look at 'em, the more I think I'm going to like 'em.

Just back from the tailor... I will be wearing this later today. IRL, it's a really lovely soft blue although it looks grey in this picture.
