You are not better than other people because you read Steve Jobs' biography.

Haha I'm sure he'd like to think it is his influence. In reality it's discovering bespoke and MTM processes that has led me to boiling things down. I now realize that I don't have to keep buying to find a better fit or to get details that I can't find from garment to garment. I've also moved into a slightly more conservative job/industry. When I was in the creative space I could wear a lot more casual and bold items. Now I need to remain a bit more conservative and buttoned-up, so to speak.

Really though, at the end of the day, I think simplifying things down to a well-curated wardrobe is the first step to true style; creating a uniform and then honing in on the details.

interesting. as noted by bourbon, my interest sure isnt waring, but i am finding myself honing in on a few specific colors. particularly with shirts and pants, and mostly sticking with that. still variations, no one shirt or one pants, but a lot of blues and grays in different textures and patterns.

Yeah I've read a lot of people on here who get into a buying frenzy once they discover SF but after some time and reflection then start realizing its about quality not quantity. I've imposed a 'one out one in' policy on my wardrobe as I have all the bases covered but still find myself gravitating towards my favourites rather than wearing everything in rotation. I work from home in sweats a couple of days a week so only dress for work two or three days which reduces the opportunity to wear 'more' even more. Some of my stuff is gonna get binned soon if I can ever work out how to use B and S or sell on eBay!

it fits in with the odd, old man style, sweater and SC grouping. :)

Lots of stuff coming. Will be my last purchases for awhile.

Will post when it's all here. Rather than as it comes in.
