nice ties fred!
ebay seller: outofmany.one (http://myworld.ebay.com/outofmany.one/?_trksid=p4340.l2559)
Do you think they're fakes?
I'm really not up to speed on Borrelli tagging, other than to say I've gotten shirts from a number of sources and found subtle differences in tagging. I'm not sure if that's due to mixing of old/recent stock, that Borrelli apparently has moved production around in recent years, or other.
I will say that I'm fairly versed in shirt construction and I haven't detected anything yet that leads me to believe they are fakes. For example, all have nice single seam stitching on the sides, but some apparently have a few more or less stitches per inch. I have attributed this to, probably, different tiers of shirts rather than fakery. But I'm not a pro, nor do I have any place where I can first hand evaluate shirts with a retailer that I'm sure is providing genuine wares, so I am at a disadvantage.
Since you raised an alarm, I'll be doubly inspecting these when they arrive - should be by next week...
On all of the Borrelli shirts I have the tag string was held together with a little gold tin thing like this.
i hope they are real. i have no idea about the tags, except the few borrelli items i have are tagged like the one above.
Some of his other shirts have the gold thing as well.
Oy Vey Stitch!
I thought I had a shopping addiction??
Whats in the box?
Does Borrelli have different lines or did they recently change the label? Because the label on Borrelli's site looks far less wide.
Edit: Nvm, some of Ich_Dien's shirts have similar labels (wide-wise) to yours.
i use a similar model like this.
mine is so bad. the 3 weeks could not come sooner.
tis a SC. pics soon.
Good point. Now that I think about it, most - but I don't think all - of my other Borrelli's had the gold clasp on string as well... Hmmm. I'm wondering if these are lower level and/or returns (since the string could just be a re-tag).
Fyi: I expect to get something that is worth what I paid for it. While I expect these to be legit Borrellis, if for some reason they're less than "top tier" but still up to snuff quality wise, I'll still happily give them a good home (and be a better informed shopper in the future, too).
That said, I'll post more details one they arrive...stay tuned.
nothing like getting a suit box delivered; my parents agreed to receive packages for me until I return to the usa in september. most recent email stated "JUST RECEIVED TWO GIANT SUIT BOXES FROM SAKS AND BERGDORF. GOOD LORD, CAN ANYONE WEAR THIS MUCH STUFF? WILL PUT IN THE CLOSET WITH THE REST OF THE PACKAGES"
totally reminded me when I saw your pic. let's see that sportcoat!
Mrs. Stitch must say this on a daily basis.
