Something in between, I guess. They get the same treatment as my cotton shirts: about 6 minutes of attention :).

Armani linen sc - 1500 SRP copped for 600. Fits very nicely, I think I finally found the OTR maker that seems to offer the least problems, haha. Ralph, tan suede oxfords - chocolate suede loafers. Got them both for 40 off.

On a side note, I know we are on the tail end of it, but Neimans is having a killer sale. There was a lot of nice stuff on the rack @ the Boston store.

Just curious: did you size down ? Tried on some Barbas last week, and they were very large in the collar. i'm usually a 39, but even with a 38 there was a collar gap. Ended up buying something else....

The great thing about STF is that he posts all measurements to the shirt.

thanks-- still on the fence about these; saw em on www.stanleykorshak.com

I actually liked the smooth leather model better, I think-- unfortunately, none in my size and the store would upcharge me to order.

there are several bontoni models on sale at the moment, worth checking to see if they have your size

I'll add a plug for STF because, coincidentally, I just got a Barba from them as well (sorry, couldn't wait to take a pic in the pack before opening and trying it on). I've become quite a big Barba fan as of late (4 or 5 in the past 2 months) and STF has been where I've gotten most of them.

Everything from STF has alway been impeccable and the few times I've had questions/issues, Ian's been helpful and on top of it.

Not only that, but they pay attention to the fit and construction details - including whether there are darts or not, the yoke on the back, pleats, composition etc. For those who are particular (me!) it's been a godsend. Plus I'll add that their pictures are spot on with regards to color. Other venues blues, for example, have differed markedly in person from online. I understand it's tough to get it right, but STF does.

I'm not sure that I've thanked Ian from STF enough over the past 2 years for the number of fantastic things that I've gotten from him that, frankly, I probably wouldn't have been able to afford or even find otherwise; hopefully this registers as a small testament of appreciation.
