No one will agree, but I still like it. Needs a different tie tho.

Yep, IS, you may be on your own. Having seen this now IRL, I'm not a fan of the PATTERN. Colors are fine for me, but the pattern comes off as a series of horizontal bands (wide stripes). I think this is one that would not get much use once the novelty wears off. (Oh, WAIT, Spoo's middle NAME is novelty!)

    Well Done.
I would not return the jacket because of the fabric pattern. It is a bold handsome plaid that is great for the right occasion.

+1. I actually kind of like it but I agree its sole purpose would be novelty. I would also not wear it with a tie. Would make for a nice casual FU jacket with jeans and a white shirt with an open collar IMHO.

Yeah, or I was thinking brown cords and a (shudder) tan turtleneck.

(HEY, according to the youngin's blogs TNs are comin' back!)

Yea, I just kind of don't see the point...for me, it attracts a lot of attention and looks somewhere between ok and not good...you have a lot of other jackets that look way better than this, I just don't understand the use of keeping this one.

Unless of course your point was to entertain me and the rest of the forum...in which case, huge win....

    Very Entertaining!

I'm going to vote dump it. I really wanted to like it - as I love the idea of 'breaking the mold' whenever possible.

But in this case I'm thinking that fabric is just not going to play well with others and it's strong horizontal pattern is just plain old not pleasing. If they had run the fabric the other direction it MIGHT have worked - but as is I'm not feeling it.

If you do keep it I would like to see it with cords that match the red and a tan turtleneck. Shoes and belt to pick up the grayish tone in the jacket. (Fred H mentioned turtlenecks and I do think they can look great with sportcoats.)

Told that they're now called "Roll Neck" sweaters. The Anti-Testudines Defamation League must have sued or somethin'.

Sorry Spoo. As much I am all for some of your bold orchestrated outfits, I cannot support this one. My vote is for your returning it. Without hesitation.
