    I think you just answered your own question.

    The reason they're able to sell it lower initially is because they buy in bulk and schedule periodic, ascending price discrimination (most likely timed on variables such as site traffic and proprietary advertising info.).

    EDIT: Just looked closer at the linked page. Might have been a fevered theory, but they could still re-list based on demand factors. Or they are just really fucking stupid.
