Can somebody remind me again why this guy is a style pedagogue?

Flusser has pretty much gone meta. You start off dressing well, teaching the masses, becoming a style and industry icon. You then move into nutty professor territory, wearing dad jeans, loafers and a pinstripe orphan jacket. Finally, you just go meta, where your **** is so out there, so awful, such a big F.U. to all that you created, that your followers can only assume that they don't "get it" and you are on some next level stuff that the rest of the world will be doing in 10-15 years, Either that or he has discovered peyote.

In a way, Flusser and Schuman remind me a lot of each other. If you listen to what they say, read what they write, look at the product, they are insightful guys who have a soulful outlook on what they're doing.

But then you look at them. Ehrmahgerd.

What you should think about is what separates you from the gentleman next to him. You can only assume he is following him due to his influence and has no decision making capability of his own. Maybe, when you are relied upon so much to make decisions for others, you tend to see how far you can take it while others continue to follow. I know I would. It would be humorous to see how far people would go to follow my cues in the name of "fashion" if I were him.

Exactly!

However, I was thinking more so the Royal Navy style of white shorts and high white socks with a blazer.

Thank you T. If you show those pictures to any normal human being outside of the blogosphere/internet forums, there would be well deserved derision. I'm sure there are many reblogs of those pics talking about how great they look. Next up, ties worn over tee shirts.
