Somehow this works and I really like it. I shouldn't (Cigarette, light blue overcoat, gloves in pocket). As long as he isn't wearing double monks, its great!

That specific turtleneck or turtlenecks in general?

Now that I really think about it, all turtlenecks look like a giant "I'm a Delta Bravo!" sign. I think my loathing is derived from a former Manager who wore the turtleneck/blue sport coat combination regularly. when he took off the sport coat he had serious schveaty pit stains. I'm scarred.

:uhoh::lol:

I think a person has to have right body size and proportion to wear turtle necks well. Personally I like chunky/cable turtle necks, keep me warm in the winter.

I have no objections whatsoever to turtlenecks, but I do run hot and sweat easily in them -- so I have to wear shirts and layers that open up. No confining sweaters for me, jackets only.
Since that eliminates me from the turtleneck game, someone has to take up the slack and I'm glad to see my fellow compatriots wear them.

Looks oddly twee. In principle nothing is too wrong here, but it rubs me the wrong way. Are those jeans? A brown DB with jeans is a recipe for trouble. DB with jeans period is a recipe for trouble.

Looks atrocious, like he's wearing a piece of luggage or something.

I can never get behind the mugging he does in his photos, but I suppose that's part of the schtick of blogging. The jacket here looks really weird, like a thrifted vintage find -- the lapel shape and giant pocket flaps just seem very cheesy.

Sorry for the overall negativity on this round

Ehm, sir, are you trying to tell me you have a small wiener?
For what it's worth, I'm always thrown off balance by the sudden capitalization of letters in your screen name; it seems like a Tourettes' Syndrome kinda thing, IYKWIM.
