1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I don't know; most people will never see it that close. But yeah, the wearer would. In any case, Solaro in either traditional tan or this navy, always looks vile when seen in close-up. It only flourishes in really bright sunshine. Even indoors in summer it looks like crap... but outside...

BTW, that blog has some other nice pics. What about this navy DB:

    Or this wonderfully ugly jacket:

There's also some less fun/more weird stuff too (bespoke cargo-style trousers...). And a tan Solaro suit, if you're interested in that.

And some more close-up pics of Solaro on this page.

Man I love solaro more than almost anything else. I have one in particular in a gray with silver pinstripe that reflects silvery as well. Like a knight in shining armour. A nice FU suit. My wife hates it but there is this young hot barbie doll looking actuary in my office that asked if she could stroke it :D BTW, she's single!!!!!!!!!

Surprising that you don't know about Solaro cloths, especially given your astounding knowledge about other cloths & fabrics like Cashmere.

Anyway Solaro cloths are used for spring/summer, often displaying an iridescent tonal character. Despite being on the heavier side they are open weave and so wear cool. I have to say, it's either a love it or hate it fabric for most imo.

they do not wear cool and the wool ones are pretty impossible to wear in the summer.

Thanks for your opinion, I have the opposite experience (although I'm no fan) and Solaro cotton as well as the wool continues to have a following on the row for S/S seasons.

    Sure, from that blog:

Nice use of light colours here. Not totally on board with the pattern combination, but the colours are good.

I've looked at this pic over and over again trying to discern whether it has stains or a monogram on the shirt. I think it's stained, which is crazy for many reasons.
