Benefit of the doubt, maybe it's just a hankerchief he keeps in his shirt pocket and is hidden under his jacket. But then again, on this forum I've seen a pocketsock and a blanketscarf, so nothing really surprises me anymore...

I believe this is Tajima-san, the MD of L'IDEA group which operate the Strasburgo and Kiton shops in Tokyo. Shame he's not wearing a felt flower.

I wouldnt doubt that he is wearing a pocket square in his shirt pocket. Ive seen a lot of photos of guys doing that recently. I think it looks kinda stupid though. If you are really that intent on wearing a pocket square all the time, then just wear a jacket. Its ok to leave out a few of the current trends for a day.

I was drinking coffee the other day and there was this old Italian man sitting on the bench near me and kept talking to me in Italian even though I don't speak it. He was babbling on for like 20 minutes with his hands and all and I was just nodding and smiling. He was probably in his 70's. Anyway, he had a pocket square in his shirt pocket. He pointed to it and then pointed to mine and started laughing. So maybe it isn't a trend, but an old-timey thing.

It is just incredibly juvenile and arbitrary. Why advertize to the world what you like to do with your partner? It is just absurd.
