Recc's for a more substantial premium Trainer?

Hey all,

I'm looking for a pair of classic premium trainers (similar to CP's, Buttero, etc.) however I find the sidewalls to be slightly too thin for my taste; looking for something with a little more 'meat' specifically in the sole sidewall.

Although i've never seen them in person, it seem's like the Lanvin trainers are a little more substantial, however I can't get past some of the try-hard design details on them. Although not 'classic' per-se, I also like the heft that the Visvim Flynt's have, but the pointy toe is a deal-breaker. And Eytys are just a little too creeper-like.

Any recc's would be much appreciated. Thanks!

So, that's actually a tough proposition, since most of the "premium sneakers" out there are either in the german army trainer mode, or on the Serena sole. However, if you want a "chunkier" sneaker, and don't want to get to Lanvin prices, you might want to try Alejandro Ingelmo. I don't think that you can get a much chunkier sole without getting into Creeper territory. The sole looks quite a bit thicker than the Serena sole, and the toe is quite rounded (more round than say, Common Projects or Butteros. ime, they are not as nice feeling as either (most) Common Projects or Butteros, but they are decent sneakers.

Thanks for the recc. Any have any experience with the Wings+Horns leather sneakers?
Yes. I have three pairs of them, and wear at least one pair of them regularly. They are built on the Margom Serena sole, same as Butteros and.Common Projects. I personally think that this is a great sole, but you wanted something bulkier, right?
