I never got a chance to go...

2 Sundays ago, I was headed to B&H and remembered that this installation was up a few blocks away:

I skipped B&H and headed there and passed by Hudson Yards first. I had never been since it opened and started walking around and popped into a few watch stores. I then remembered that the Vessel was a part of the complex.

I was able to take a look and thought it was nice. It was crowed. I was not interested in going in as I figured that I could do that any time.

Guess not!

Going into Manhattan for a weekend. Any good hotel recs in downtown area? I stayed in the Archer hotel a few months back and the room was hilariously small.

No personal experience with EDITION in NYC, but the lobby bar is terrific, and EDITION is always great around the world. More lower Midtown than downtown, though.

We had a friend that was staying in the Madison Square Park location pre-pandemic. Not sure if the rooms are nice, but we did have a drink with her at the hotel bar and that seemed nice.

Never heard of the chain prior to that.

by downtown do you mean financial district or just below 14th?

what is downtown, btw? Based on the ebs and flows of having lived in NYC since 2008 I consider anything below 14th to be 'downtown', and midtown ends at 59th (also ok with 57th).

Definitely not financial district. I’ll settle for anything below midtown honestly.

I see people daily without masks on the train. The guy is an asshole, but was he provoked?
