It got rented for $1,850. I don't find it that bad really. Also, if you are an artist of sorts and want actual "studio" space this would be pretty great for a work location.

My condo building has only 24 units. In the last couple weeks 4 of them went up for sale. People must be hurting...

Or they're getting out of Dodge.

What is dodge?
get (the hell) out of Dodge
To leave or depart from a place, especially quickly or with marked urgency. A reference to Dodge City, Kansas, the clichéd setting of cowboy and western films from the early to mid-1900s. It looks like things are getting pretty tense in here, let's get out of Dodge!

2 college bros are probably living in that studio. Both probably work in 'media'.

On the flip side, I've never had a roommate beyond a wife, and she's pretty easy to deal with, but I see how her sister lives in the same neighborhood constantly getting roommates moving in and out and then their boyfriends hanging out, then kitchen tools are shared then argued over. I couldn't possibly stand that at any point in my life never mind me (or her) in their 30's. 'Life decisions' i guess, which aren't an area of strength for my sister in law, but also for half of Williamsburg unless the parents come in for a financial bailout.

I would say highly unlikely to happen, also would this bridge clear all the ship that has to go under? then it has to be ridiculous tall I assume...

edit: and we know the city won't have money now, and if they do it will probably end up over budget by multiples...

never had a roommate either and I lucked out with that because I've been told by my wife that I am not easy to live with. In terms of that apartment, I get the desire to be close to NYC and when you are young/starting out, you don't have a lot of cash I would just worry about the ventilation in that space and mold creeping out of the shower. Also, I couldn't really deal with making a sandwich on the counter and 10 inches away my roommate is washing his ass ?‍♂️
