^ That's the distinction to make right there. Wander more than a few feet from the Yale campus and you're suddenly in Detroit-East (with a little bit of Little Italy mixed in).

My question is, what's the best city for Bigfoot watching?

Kids only grew up in cities or on farms until the 1950s so I'm not sure what you're basing that on.

I've never been to the west coast Portland but the one in ME is a place I'd like to live.

True. If I actually had kids I'd probably raise them in a field somewhere like badgers.

My sister lives in a very nice house and neighbourhood in LA and has to drive the first kid 30 minutes to school, then drive the other another 45 minutes. Extracurricular activity means two cars heading off in opposite directions. Her kids are being raised as passengers.

True that about New Haven, though there are some great neighborhoods on the outskirts.

    Bigfoot? Fucking-A... glad you asked

    Portland & Eugene, OR
    Seattle, WA
    Vancouver, BC
    Falllstaff, AZ
    Santa Fe, NM
    Traverse City, MI
    Burlington, VT
    Roanoke, VA

Nothing except personal experience. I readily admit I may be way off. Just remembering how I grew up and compare it to a concrete jungle? Naw. I loved busting thru the screen door and onto my bike and off to do whatever.

Maybe, but what about being raised in elevators?

I expect my children to live in a city as adults, so it seems sensible to raise them in that environment.
