Yes. Same spot every morning. Look for the bicycle and the blue frock.
NY is great if you are wealthy. Otherwise it sucks.
Same with LA.
Some cities are not like that: Seattle, Albuquerque, Portland, Denver, Green Bay, Phoenix, Austin, Boulder, St Louis, Raleigh-Durham, Portland ME, Burlington VT, Manchester NH, New Haven CT, Providence, Annapolis, Ann Arbor, and Charlottseville VA.
Edit: Madison WI, not Green Bay
Oh, ok. Care to respond? Been to New H, loved it. What is your comment beyond the -??? nothing???
I don't live in NYC, nor do I envision I'll be moving there soon .That said, this post is ridiculous. You can't compare a huge metropolitan area to... Green fuckin' Bay Wisconsin, among half of the other cities you posted.
Obvious you fail to relate.
Many cities are wonderfully livable with very little $ = my point.
The idea was not to compare, bonehead. It was to provide low cash players alternative cities to love that would provide quality of life on a fairly low income.
Apparently you didn't grasp I was never intending to suggest Green Bay was the same as NY. I actually meant Madison, WI, thanks for mentioning it, but my point remains. Read bro.
You're a nice guy but you fail miserably to grasp my point: NY may seem fun but if you dont have any $$ you end up the loser that watches ballers walk into night clubs while you watch at the door.
But if you feel pretender is more than small city player, march on deadly. Just don't pay the check.
New Haven is probably the worst "city" in the US. Phoenix? That is like LA without a soul. And unimPortland??? I do have a soft spot for Portland, ME.
Obviously each city attracts a different person. But you know that. Have been to New Haven, found it very nice, would even live there. Very nice mix of Yale and lefovers. Some friends are grads and love it too. Phoenix, while sprawl has fucked it up, has interesting people, but would never live there. Would live in Albuquerque though, buy its in a diff state and small as fuck. But I live in DC so its moot. Don't you live in that shitbox Richmond? Or is that Teger? I get confused with people that want to feel important.
I don't even know how to respond. A big chunk of my family (and my in-laws) went to a college in New Haven.
I had to visit lots, and even more when picking a college to attend. Ugh.
No, I like in the shitbox known as San Francisco. I am happy to be confused with teger, though.
You're probably caught up in personal drama, PM me, we can chat offline about it. Try letting people having a different viewpoint that gives the thread some texure.
X 2. Would move to. But another city that requires $$$ to enjoy properly.
Ha ha, don't know if Teger fells the same.
Ooh, I didn't mean I like San Francisco, I live here and it is annoying as fuck. Just a typo.
Ah. You want to live in Richmond then?
Wanna trade DC for SF?
I love the vibe there. Maybe after a year or two I may agree but from what I see I love the restaurants, hills, people. Or are you a $40k yr 20 something?
I've lived here, or here abouts, for 40 years. The hills are nice, the weather is great, the restaurants were better 15 years ago and the people are much better the first time you meet them than the fifth. I hate DC as well. I also dislike NY. I do like LA a lot, and I like Atlanta. Chicago is great. The rest pretty much fucking suck.
Fair enough. Cant argue. 'Cept DC, you cant discount the power center and the brains it attracts. What fucks me here is the cool people leave. Made friends and then they move with a new govt. Made friends with an absolute genius Princeton physicist an he recently moved to India. Everyone leaves.
Atlanta? Hot-Lanta? Nah. Too outside my zone.
Chi is cool. Cold as fuck. There is texture in the rest.... but if you need a big city its moot.
Separate names with a comma.
