Windsor Terrace looks quite interesting, and an easy to commute to Columbia. The question is do I want to bike to work every day or not. I guess living in w105-110s would be okay, since my favorite restaurant is at w109, but I found closer to Columbia a bit boring, in terms of shops and restaurants, more catered to the undergrad scene. Or maybe I am just overthinking it, there is a beautiful park right there, after all.

NEW YORK (AP) — New York City begins a new era in nutritional warnings this week, when chain restaurants will have to start putting a special symbol on highly salty dishes.

Is the high e70s affordable (under $3k-ish per bedroom) for rentals (not a rental building but a condo building)? Or do I need to be looking in the mid to high e80s? Any recommendations for a realtor over there that isn't a total scumbag?

Why not just check the listings at Corcoran, Elliman, etc.....

There is no MLS, right? So you have to go to each realtor website to find the listings? That is very frustrating; how does streeteasy get the listings and keep them accurate? Do they have a feed or do they scrape the data off each realtor site?

On many of the big sites like Elliman you can see other agencies' listings if you create an account.

Oh man! That's right behind my office, where I park my bike. I'm going to be in CT for part of the weekend but will try to make it.

Windsor Terrace is basically Brooklyn's retirement village. Lots of post-war homes and assisted living "communities". The restaurant/young people scene is non-existent, except for the area on the southwest edge of Prospect Park which is basically South Slope. I'm currently in South Slope and enjoy it because of its proximity to Park Slope without its costs, but it's just not "there" yet a neighborhood to enjoy itself. Much of South Slope is gross and dirty, particularly 5th Avenue.

Fort Greene is a luscious oasis. But it's pricey.

If commuting is a big deal, Sunset Park is an option. The 36th Street express D station is only two stops from Grand in Manhattan.

Yes, they invited us to come and show some accessories and gift ideas from the store. So we will have a table there and will try to stay sober for a while.

I'll complain about the weather. It's been so nice out that I really underestimated how close to Christmas it is, and shit needs to be ordered ASAP.

Supposedly, El Nino means NY is going to have a mild(er) winter.

Given your track record, this means you are likely to find yourself in California for the next few months.

I can't believe I am still running my summer tires. I usually switch to winters around thanksgiving. Looks like it'll be 60 degrees until Christmas at least.
