the popularity of Shake Shack's chicken sandwich only highlights the troubling dearth of good chicken sandwiches in NYC.

even more troubling, IMO, is the lack of good fish sandwiches. You can get a burger at 10,000 places on any given block, but I have never found a great fish sandwich.

Does a great fish sandwich even exist? The catfish sandwich at Nam Pang is ok but I prefer their salads or rice bowls.

I can't even think of an example of a great fish sandwich.

it does exist, and it's simple. Beer battered haddock on a soft (and long) roll with some lettuce and tartar sauce. Simple and cheap. There's actually a fish market not far from me in W'Burg that seems to serve up a lot of fried fish, I'll see if they have anything.

I like Num Pang, but don't see it as a usual fish sandwich. And I'd just get their coconut tiger shrimp anyways.

Dirty Bird is good. But it's like fucking $9 just for the sandwich. Add a side and a drink and you'll be pushing $20. Fuck that.

sadly, not that I know of when it comes to sandwiches. However, a full bird from Chirping Chicken is an awesome dinner (that'll last for two nights).

I did goldstar for field level seats at only ~$55 after all the fees and whatnot. The 105-109 section is at the short porch right field, which is the best chance to catch a homerun ball.

Division game against the O's on a Thursday afternoon July 23. https://www.goldstar.com/shows/1013922/checkout/new

Just need to bring your ID to pick up from Will Call ticket windows 17-19. I got my tickets within 2 minutes of arriving at the stadium.

Tragedy is when I get a paper cut; comedy is when you fall into a sewer and die. If the guy was nailed by a garbage truck then I could see funny. As it stands it's just some asshole stealing a phone.

The woman sprinted across traffic without looking I found heroics of the Citibike knight with his "never fear, my damsel in distress" pretty humorous.

I know you guys hate getting together for some reason, but here is your chance to complain about the weather and traffic in person:

NYC Meet-Up one week from tonight:

Tuesday, July 21st at 6:30pm at Nocello.
located at 257 West 55th between Broadway and 8th Ave.
Come for dinner, come for drinks. Everyone is welcome. We’ll probably be hanging out for awhile.
Just let me know if you can make it so we can get a rough head count.

Ok so it has been gross out. Especially today, ain't even arguable as it's a fact of truth.

This whole "chance of afternoon thunderstorms" is killing me.
