1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I'm hoping she didn't do it but couldn't bear the sight when she discovered them so she tried offing herself.

It is really horrible and strikes a chord for all parents who have to leave their children in the care of someone. I'm a bit in shock as well

We haven't had a Nanny in a while, but way back when, when we did, one time, we came home and notice that our Nanny had carved my wife and my names into the leaves of one of our houseplants/trees. That freaked us out.

My wife may know the nanny :(

That's just weird unless it was part of a school project.

FM radio is so unbelievably bad here. The airwaves are dominated by Latin urban techno-pop, as if every other listener out there is DJ'ing a dance floor in the basement of a Puerto Rican bodega.

^ I have a secret fondness for the aural abomination known as freestyle or Miami bass, and New York is the only city I know of that plays the genre regularly on FM radio.

Do you guys get tornado activity much? Growing up in tornado alley that was always bothersome.

We just drove up to Stone Barns and one the ride back to the city I was thinking how underrated the NYC landscape and setting is. People always think about Times Square and Soho but driving down the Henry Hudson Parkway and the riverside, with red and yellow trees everywhere, the palisades, the GW bridge, etc... It's just a great scenery. Add a sunset to that and it's pretty awesome - something about the sunsets over NJ that is particularly nice for a city sight - must be the toxic fumes in the air...
