Most of my life. See below.

Believe it or not, their pension is about the only thing they've got going for them these days. The hourly pay is alright, but believe me when I tell you that my family has yet to see more than a dollar or two an hour increase in pay after all the raises they've supposedly been getting. We're not talking about a low-paying job here, either. It's mostly going to the people up top- dispatchers, officers, etc., with everyone else getting very little by comparison. I think bus drivers might get slightly better wage increases than folks on trains because their job is less controllable and they are directly exposed to angry customers. Actually, the next time you hear about MTA workers getting pay raises, see if you can find how much the executive board members are getting in extra bonuses as a result. I guarantee you most Transit workers aren't getting paid much extra. Well, maybe with the exception of Metro-North. Their conductors make ~$60 an hour, I think. City conductors make maybe $24 per hour, if even that.

I have no luck with the subway or traffic.
What did you expect from biker gangs?

This is very related to what happened in DC a few days ago, so it's not surprising to me in the least.

that would probably be the best form of punishment here, but make it the whole gang facing off against a p'd off group of angels looking to stomp the guys who are giving bikers a bad name

I was once punched in the face by a deranged man as I walked past him, in broad daylight on a weekday in Midtown, just off of 5th Ave. At Christmas time, no less. That was fun. Fortunately he was significantly shorter than me and got a bad angle on his punch, so it was more shocking than damaging. In hindsight I was just lucky he was a deranged maniac puncher and not a deranged maniac slasher.

As a side benefit, I got to experience first-hand the secret behind Ray Kelly's trend-defying public safety "miracle"... underreporting! The cops who responded to my 911 call didn't even bother getting out of the car, let alone taking notes.
