Could they send out one of those emergency texts to say the UN general assembly is meeting and maybe, just maybe, you shouldn't drive in the clusterfuck that is the east side of the city?

I was hearing about it since last week on NPR. You don't listen to WNYC when you drive?

The POTUS is addressing the UN today. You should look forward to driving in midtown east today.

I am always bewildered by drivers in areas of high congestion. I mean, it will be a beautiful Saturday everybody and their mother is walking around Soho in droves and cars try to turn onto Prince St. off Broadway are getting pissed off. Well, what do you honestly expect? Seriously?

This means I'll have to travel through the UWS. It gets worse and worse.

Why don't you assholes take the subway like a normal New Yorker? You want to drive around, then move to L.A.

See I am just being a selfish New Yorker because if you complain more about subway woes I can better relate to that.

And I normally do, but after hours when you can park anywhere it seems silly to take the subway.

A few years ago I was working on this project in Queens for the 6 months. One thing I noticed about Queens in everybody drives fucking everywhere. If you need to walk more than two blocks people will drive around in circles for 2 hours looking for parking. It is so strange and always a clusterfuck, especially under the El in Astoria. Between assholes who don't want to walk and delivery trucks it is just chaos all of the time.

I live way uptown. If I need to go way downtown on a weekend or night (when the parking is plentiful and free), why would I take the subway? The FDR will get me to Houston in about 20 minutes at non-rush hour times.

And I like yelling at people.
