Returning from a trip out of town, meeting someone for lunch in SoHo, and then reading this thread was a mistake.

The shit we put up with to live here.

The B and Q lines were shut down for an hour and a half today so they could get two stray kittens off the track*.

*they couldn't even get the two kittens off the track.

The #1 reason New York sucks: New Yorkers. Really, the city is spectacular but New Yorkers just love to complain and talk endlessly of the things they put up with to live in New York City. Shut up! Bloody hell. Every other city in the United States is inferior, but they keep quiet and make good out of their grim circumstances but New Yorkers complain endlessly.

I've lived all over the world, including New York City for two years, and I just might move back. I lived in the far West Village and it all seemed very bohemian and charming and dare I say....pretty slow. It was a very pleasant experience and I loved living there.

We bitch and moan but deep down love the city. It's how we express it and part of being a "New Yorker".

He said "Far West Village" which is quite a bit more quiet.

Sky's clear where I am on the UWS. Are you sure you don't have your own microclimate?

Maybe Manton is talking about a Nuclear storm.

Then, who gets the last laugh?

My old boss lived ground floor across the street from there. I always chuckled when I'd see the shenanigans. I figured an enter priding gentleman with a stanchion could make a few bucks taking pictures.
